Welcome to my world

One of the things that I love about writing is that you get to build your own world, and even if it’s reality-based, it’s still unique. Every time I revisit or add to my Vital Secrets books I get to immerse myself in the characters – their thoughts, behaviors, what makes them tick.

And I enjoy every single moment of it, even when the movie in my head won’t cooperate.

I didn’t realize it until recently, but those characters, who are so, so real to me, allow me to process things sometimes that otherwise might be left unchecked and unaddressed. On occasion, watching two characters interact through a tough or delicate situation has helped me, consciously or not, come to a feasible and healthy approach to a problem I’ve been wrestling with in real life.

Then of course, there is also the bonus of being able to do or say or experience things vicariously through my characters that I otherwise, for whatever reason, won’t in real life. They can be fearless when I am timid (natural introvert here). They can be flawed, perfectly imperfect, and yet when they band together, they can take on anything that comes their way.

It’s a world I adore, and I can’t ever see myself living without it.

If this sounds like a world you’d enjoy too, then come join me here – you are always welcome.
